Description
A weathered bronze plaque resembles an open book with engraved text, located on a stone base under a large tree, commemorating the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Clemson Agricultural College. The left page details the circumstances of the meeting held in 1886, while the right page contains a resolution honoring Thomas G. Clemson's bequest and the acceptance of his Will by the trustees.
The Will of Thomas G. Clemson dated November 6, 1886, provided for the establishment of the Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina and thirteen trustees to administer it. Seven, who were friends and associates of Clemson, were named as Life Trustees.
This Image is available as Greeting Cards, as Art Prints of various types & sizes, and as assorted Home Decor items. It also makes a great gift for the Student or Alumni! If you are choosing a framed print, be sure to browse through the frame and matting options to arrive at your perfect combination. Often using two mats, a top mat and a bottom mat that has a contrasting color, it brings out the colors in the print and compliments the scene.
