The Bridgetown Mill was built in 1704, in historic Bucks County, PA. The mill continued to operate until 1939. It is quickly deteriorating at this time. This is my watercolor painting of the entry door.

Thank you so much Melinda! The building looks much worse now, but the land it is on is now for sale, so I expect it will eventually be torn down.

Michael Baker
This looks realistic enough to touch, Denise, and that's not easy to achieve with watercolor - super impressive. You must have had a lot of fun creating these old ruddy bricks and watching them pop out as you added the shadows. Was this mostly wet-into-wet technique or wet-on-dry? L/F!
Denise Harty replied:
Thank you so much Michael! Each stone was painted separately, I always sketch them out first, and painted wet-on-wet.
